Nevada High School Basketball - Centennial overwhelms Cimarron-Memorial

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Centennial Bulldogs (Las Vegas, NV) and the visiting Cimarron-Memorial Spartans (Las Vegas, NV), saw Centennial's basketball squad wallop Cimarron-Memorial by a tally of 64-29.
With the victory, Centennial improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 2-5.
Next up, the Spartans confront the The Meadows School Mustangs (Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 16. Cimarron-Memorial will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record.
First Quarter
Cimarron started off strong leading through the first 5 minutes, until they started to turn the ball over & miss easy layups.
Second Quarter
Centennial held the Spartans to 1 point for the 2nd quarter, & increased their lead from 9 to 25 points. The
Spartans had 16 total self inflicted Turnovers in the 1st half & missed 7 Free Throws.
Third Quarter
The Spartans came out in the 3rd Quarter & score the first 10 points, before the Fouls & Turnovers started to mount again. They had 8 Turnovers for the Quarter & Zero Assists. After scoring the first 10 points the Spartans were outscored 14- to 3 the rest of the Quarter.
Fourth Quarter
The Spartans were 1 for 7 in the 4th quarter & missed 4 of their 6 Free Throws, & once again had a difficult time protecting the basketball, which added up to an additional 8 Turnovers in the Final Quarter.
