Blacksher Bulldogs (Uriah, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chickasaw Chieftains (Chickasaw, AL), 52-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Blacksher upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Bulldogs host Washington County (Chatom, AL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 1 bout on Friday, January 12. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-0. Washington County won 62-46 in their recent league bout against St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL)

Next up, the Chieftains clash with the Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL) in a 2A Area 1 bout, on Friday, January 12. Chickasaw will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record.
