In Thursday's non-league outing, the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA), by a margin of 58-30.

The Terriers (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles go into the Blue Ridge outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, Staunton River was trounced by Northside (Roanoke, VA), 47-37, in a league outing.

The Rockets now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Parry McCluer for a Pioneer outing on Friday, January 12. Craig County will clash with a Fighting Blues squad coming off a 60-9 non-league win over Nelson County (Lovingston, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 8-3.
