Virginia High School Basketball - William Byrd trounces Craig County

The William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) basketball crushed the host Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA), 58-27 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Terriers (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles go into the Blue Ridge test with a 9-14 record. In their last test, Staunton River was trounced by Fleming (Roanoke, VA), 56-12, in a league test.
The Rockets now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Narrows for a Pioneer test on Wednesday, February 14. Craig County will encounter a Green Waves squad coming off a 54-16 league win over Highland (Monterey, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 10-11.
