Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ), 41-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hackensack upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Comets travel to NV - Demarest (Demarest, NJ) to play the Norsemen in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Norsemen go into the bout with a record of 11-3. NV - Demarest won 50-44 in their recent league bout against Pascack Valley (Hillsdale, NJ)

In their next game, the Spartans face the Northern Highlands Highlanders (Allendale, NJ) in a Freelance game, on Tuesday, January 16. Paramus will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Highlanders enter the game with a 10-3 record after their 51-43 non-league win over Dumont (Dumont, NJ).
