River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hillcrest Christian Cougars (Jackson, MS), 68-34 in a league bout.

With the win, River Oaks upgrades its record to 12-10 on the season. The Mustangs host West Side Christian (El Dorado, AR) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 15-3. West Side Christian won 42-17 in their recent league bout against Cornerstone Christian (Tillar, AR)

Next up, the Cougars play the Franklin Academy Cougars (Winnsboro, LA) in a MAIS 3A District 4 bout, on Friday, January 12. Hillcrest Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 55-50 league loss to River Oaks (Monroe, LA).
