Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA), 56-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Louisa County upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Lions host Orange County (Orange, VA) to play the Fighting Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Fighting Hornets come into the bout with a record of 5-5.

Next up, the Flying Flucos play the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Fluvanna County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 49-31 non-league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA).
