Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 40-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fluvanna County upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Flying Flucos travel to Orange County (Orange, VA) to play the Fighting Hornets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Fighting Hornets come into the bout with a record of 5-8. Orange County lost 37-36 in their recent non-league bout against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Louisa County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record.
