Jackson Generals (Miami, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Miami Beach Hi-Tides (Miami Beach, FL), 41-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jackson upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Mourning (North Miami, FL) to play the Sharks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Sharks come into the bout with a record of 4-1. Mourning won 47-41 in their recent non-league bout against Miami Beach (Miami Beach, FL)

Next up, the Hi-Tides play the Homestead Broncos (Homestead, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Miami Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 71-43 non-league win over Miami Christian (Miami, FL).
