Georgia High School Basketball - Appling County trounced by Crisp County

January 11, 2025: Cordele, GA 31015

The Appling County Pirates basketball squad (Baxley, GA), was crushed 66-34 in Saturday's league battle with the host Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA)

With the victory, Crisp County advances its record to 13-4 on the year. The Cougars host Cook (Adel, GA) to meet the Hornets in a AA Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Hornets enter the battle with a record of 3-13. Cook lost 52-49 in their recent non-league battle against Brooks County (Quitman, GA)

The Pirates now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Telfair County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 14. Appling County will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 54-37 league loss to Wheeler County (Alamo, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 0-9.
