The Stratford Spartans basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Memorial Mustangs to 40 in the Spartans league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now have a 10-13 record. They play next when they travel to Cypress Creek for a 6A Region III District 17 game on Wednesday, January 15. Stratford will confront a Cougars team coming off a 61-39 league win over Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 16-11.

With the loss, Memorial falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Cypress Falls (Houston, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 6A Region III District 17 game on Wednesday, January 15. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 18-7. Cypress Falls won 58-36 in their recent league game against Cypress Ridge (Houston, TX)
