Vermont High School Basketball - St. Johnsbury Academy knocks off Rutland

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers basketball team scored a good 59-40 win over the Rutland Raiders.
The Hilltoppers (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT). The Redhawks come into the Metro contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Champlain Valley Union defeated Burr & Burton (Manchester, VT), 54-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the Fair Haven Slaters (Fair Haven, VT) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 15. Rutland will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Slaters come into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 51-42 non-league win over Middlebury (Middlebury, VT).
