Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany can't hold off Carroll County

The Alleghany Mountaineers basketball squad (Covington, VA), was tipped 75-72 in Friday's league test with the visiting Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA)
The Cavaliers (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Grayson County was tipped by Alleghany (Covington, VA), 53-36, in a non-league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host James River for a Three Rivers test on Tuesday, January 17. Alleghany will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 59-44 league loss to Radford (Radford, VA). The Knights record now stands at 10-5.
