California High School Basketball - Mission San Jose can't hold off American

The American Eagles basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Mission San Jose Warriors to 52 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a Mission Valley contest on Saturday, January 14. American will battle a Huskies team coming off a 75-53 league loss to Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 6-10.
The Warriors (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Irvington (Fremont, CA). The Vikings enter the Mission Valley contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Irvington was nudged by James Logan (Union City, CA), 83-57, in a league contest.
