The Autauga Academy Generals (Prattville, AL) basketball nipped the visiting Monroe Academy Volunteers (Monroeville, AL), 51-46 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Generals (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Hooper Academy (Hope Hull, AL). The Colts go into the AISA AA Region 1 test with a 4-8 record.

The Volunteers now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Bessemer Academy for a AISA AAA Region 2 test on Monday, January 16. Monroe Academy will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 81-32 league win over Clarke Prep (Grove Hill, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 10-3.
