Florida High School Basketball - Union County trounces Dixie County

January 12, 2023: Lake Butler, FL 32054

The Union County Fightin' Tigers (Lake Butler, FL) basketball crushed the visiting Dixie County Bears (Cross City, FL), 69-41 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Fightin' Tigers (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Fort White (Fort White, FL). The Indians go into the 1A District 6 test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Fort White walloped Lafayette (Mayo, FL), 51-28, in a non-league test.

The Bears now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bell for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. Dixie County will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 50-31 non-league loss to Branford (Branford, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-14.
