Florida High School Basketball - Union County overwhelms Dixie County

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Union County Fightin' Tigers (Lake Butler, FL) and the host Dixie County Bears (Cross City, FL), saw Union County's basketball squad wallop Dixie County by a tally of 57-36.

With the victory, Union County improves its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Fightin' Tigers host Crescent City (Crescent City, FL) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 4-15. Crescent City lost 63-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Menendez (St. Augustine, FL)

Next up, the Bears confront the Trenton Tigers (Trenton, FL) in a 1A District 7 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Dixie County will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 37-25 non-league win over Bell (Bell, FL).
