The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Farwell Eagles to 32 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northern Michigan Christian for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Meridian will battle a Comets team coming off a 52-45 league loss to Lake City (Lake City, MI). The Comets record now stands at 3-3.

The Eagles (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pinconning (Pinconning, MI). The Spartans enter the Jack Pine contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Pinconning was routed by Hemlock (Hemlock, MI), 81-39, in a non-league contest.
