Alabama High School Basketball - Gordo knocked off by Winfield

The Winfield Pirates basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Gordo Green Wave to 35 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 10-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carbon Hill for a 3A Area 10 contest on Friday, January 13. Winfield will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-32 non-league win over Berry (Berry, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-5.
The Green Wave (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Aliceville (Aliceville, AL). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 13-0 record.
