The Malad Dragons basketball team (Malad, ID), dropped 45-36 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting West Side Pirates (Dayton, ID)
The Pirates now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Soda Springs for a 2A South East Idaho battle on Saturday, January 14. West Side will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 51-40 league loss to Aberdeen (Aberdeen, ID). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-8.
The Dragons (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Bear Lake (Montpelier, ID). The Bears come into the 2A South East Idaho battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Bear Lake prevailed over Sugar-Salem (Sugar City, ID), 66-59, in a non-league battle.
