Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) and the visiting Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), saw Navajo Prep's basketball squad wallop Thoreau by a tally of 89-43.

With the victory, Navajo Prep improves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Zuni (Zuni, NM) to play the Thunderbirds in a 3A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Zuni lost 67-54 in their recent league challenge against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM)

Next up, the Hawks play the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Thoreau will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 58-41 non-league win over Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM).
