Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) and the host Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), saw Navajo Prep's basketball squad wallop Thoreau by a tally of 69-45.

With the victory, Navajo Prep improves its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Zuni (Zuni, NM) to play the Thunderbirds in a 3A District 1 challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Zuni lost 51-42 in their recent league challenge against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM)

Next up, the Hawks play the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Thoreau will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 78-69 league loss to Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM).
