New Mexico High School Basketball - Albuquerque Academy fells Sandia Prep

Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM), 38-26 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 14. Albuquerque Academy will attempt to move on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 7-8 record after their 74-28 non-league loss to West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM).

With the defeat, Sandia Prep moves to 8-7 on the year. The Sundevils host Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM) to face the Eagles in a non-league game on Saturday, January 14. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 9-5. Crownpoint won 48-17 in their recent league game against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM)
