The San Gabriel Mission Pioneers basketball team (San Gabriel, CA), dropped 25-14 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Alverno Heights Academy Jaguars (Sierra Madre, CA)

The Jaguars now possess a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart of Jesus for a Soledad battle on Tuesday, January 17. Alverno Heights Academy will confront a Comets team coming off a 54-33 league loss to Ramona Convent (Alhambra, CA). The Comets record now stands at 5-8.

The Pioneers (0-12) will now prepare for their battle against Pomona Catholic (Pomona, CA). The Pacers come into the Soledad battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Pomona Catholic beat Holy Family (Glendale, CA), 39-29, in a league battle.
