Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI) and the visiting Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI), saw Cranston East's basketball squad wallop Mt. Pleasant by a tally of 56-34.

With the victory, Cranston East improves its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts travel to East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to confront the Avengers in a Division 2 challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Avengers come into the challenge with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Kilties confront the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) in a Division 2 challenge, on Monday, January 16. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Quakers come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 59-36 league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI).
