Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA), saw Plum's basketball squad hold off Kiski Area by a tally of 54-47.

With the victory, Plum improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Gateway (Monroeville, PA) to play the Gators in a WPIAL 5A 1 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Gators come into the challenge with a record of 4-8.

Next up, the Cavaliers play the Penn Hills Indians (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Kiski Area will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
