Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) and the host Pearl City Wolves (Pearl City, IL), saw Lena-Winslow's basketball squad knock off Pearl City by a count of 36-25.

With the victory, Lena-Winslow upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Northwest Upstate Illini - North challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Aquin Catholic won 45-29 in their recent league challenge against Dakota (Dakota, IL)

Next up, the Wolves play the Polo Marcos (Polo, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Pearl City will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Marcos come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 53-41 non-league win over Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL).
