Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pearl City Wolves (Pearl City, IL), 56-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Lena-Winslow upgrades its record to 22-8 on the season. The Panthers host Aquin Catholic (Freeport, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Northwest Upstate Illini - North bout on Thursday, February 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 16-11. Aquin Catholic won 40-22 in their recent league bout against Dakota (Dakota, IL)

Next up, the Wolves play the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Pearl City will attempt to upgrade on its 9-20 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 10-18 record after their 48-25 league loss to Amboy (Amboy, IL).
