Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ), 61-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westfield upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Roselle Catholic (Roselle, NJ) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Roselle Catholic won 62-48 in their recent non-league bout against South Bronx Prep (Bronx, NY)

Next up, the Pioneers clash with the University Phoenix (Newark, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. New Providence will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Phoenix go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 66-32 non-league win over Columbia (Maplewood, NJ).
