In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting New Providence Pioneers basketball team scored a tight 48-44 triumph over the Westfield Blue Devils.
In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Hudson Catholic Hawks (Jersey City, NJ) in a non-league match, on Sunday, December 18. New Providence will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record.
With the defeat, Westfield moves to 1-1 on the year. The Blue devils host Roselle Catholic (Roselle, NJ) to meet the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 20. The Lions enter the match with a record of 1-0. Roselle Catholic won 63-49 in their recent league match against Cranford (Cranford, NJ)
