In Thursday's league challenge, the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks (Colorado Springs, CO) ice hockey team bounced the visiting Pueblo County Hornets (Pueblo, CO), by a margin of 8-2.

The Red-Tailed Hawks now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodland Park for a 4A South challenge on Saturday, January 14. Cheyenne Mountain will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 5-3 league win over Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.

The Hornets (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mullen (Denver, CO). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Mullen was ripped by Glenwood Springs (Glenwood Springs, CO), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
