In Thursday's non-league match, the host Franklin Panthers basketball team scored a good 61-42 triumph over the Swain County Maroon Devils.
In their next game, the Panthers meet the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 13. Franklin will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record.
With the defeat, Swain County moves to 4-3 on the year. The Maroon devils host West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to meet the Falcons in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 18. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 8-7.
