In Friday's league outing, the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA), by a margin of 51-49.

The Generals (2-6) will now prepare for their outing against Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Wildcats go into the Dogwood outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Dan River held off Chatham (Chatham, VA), 71-65, in a league outing.

The Raiders now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Randolph-Henry for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 18.
