The Avery Bulldogs basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the host Bloomburg Wildcats to 39 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 13-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yantis for a 1A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Avery will battle a Owls team coming off a 65-53 league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, TX). The Owls record now stands at 11-6.
The Wildcats (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Avinger (Avinger, TX). The Indians come into the 1A Region III District 24 contest with a 0-16 record. In their last contest, Avinger was routed by Saltillo (Saltillo, TX), 58-38, in a league contest.
