With the win, Avery upgrades its record to 17-15 on the season. The Bulldogs host Yantis (Yantis, TX) to clash with the Owls in a 1A Region III District 24 bout on Friday, February 9. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 16-8. Yantis won 87-19 in their recent league bout against Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 bout, on Friday, February 9. Bloomburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-20 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 2-20 record after their 60-24 league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, TX).
