The Benton Tigers (Benton, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA), 69-60 in Friday's league test.
The Tigers (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Chiefs go into the 5A District 1 test with a 17-3 record. In their last test, Natchitoches Central notched a victory over Airline (Bossier City, LA), 57-55, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Haughton for a 5A District 1 test on Tuesday, January 16. Parkway will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 61-32 league loss to Captain Shreve (Shreveport, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 9-13.
