Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA), 60-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Bishop O'Dowd upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Dragons travel to Capital Christian (Sacramento, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Capital Christian won 63-50 in their recent non-league bout against Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA)

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Berkeley will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 80-75 league loss to St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA).
