Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) and the host Piedmont Classical Bobcats (Browns Summit, NC), saw Bishop McGuinness's basketball squad knock off Piedmont Classical by a count of 72-52.

With the victory, Bishop McGuinness upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Villains travel to Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to play the Mavericks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Miller School of Albemarle lost 60-56 in their recent league challenge against Blue Ridge (St. George, VA)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Piedmont Classical will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 56-30 league loss to Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC).
