Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Castleberry Lions (Fort Worth, TX), 77-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Decatur upgrades its record to 16-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Krum (Krum, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 4A Region I District 8 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 22-3. Krum won 71-54 in their recent league bout against Springtown (Springtown, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Lake Worth Bullfrogs (Lake Worth, TX) in a 4A Region I District 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Castleberry will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Bullfrogs come into the bout with a 2-16 record after their 56-37 league loss to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, TX).
