In Friday's league outing, the Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX), by a margin of 82-57.

The Mustangs (18-2) will now prepare for their outing against Idalou (Idalou, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A Region I District 2 outing with a 18-7 record. In their last outing, Idalou smashed Abernathy (Abernathy, TX), 65-59, in a league outing.

The Bobcats now own a 17-6 record. They play next when they travel to Slaton for a 3A Region I District 2 outing on Tuesday, January 16. Childress will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 70-52 league loss to Liberty (Lubbock, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 10-12.
