The Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats (Cibecue, AZ) basketball nipped the host Superior Panthers (Superior, AZ), 61-58 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Fort Thomas (Fort Thomas, AZ). The Apaches go into the 1A Copper test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Fort Thomas was tipped by San Carlos (San Carlos, AZ), 54-51, in a non-league test.

The Panthers now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they host Hayden for a 1A Copper test on Tuesday, January 16. Superior will encounter a Lobos squad coming off a 68-23 non-league win over Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (Phoenix, AZ). The Lobos record now stands at 12-5.
