The Eastside Spartans basketball team scored 73 points and held the host J.I. Burton Black Raiders to 63 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lebanon for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Eastside will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 83-65 non-league win over Marion (Marion, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-2.
The Black Raiders (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Holston (Damascus, VA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record.
