The J.I. Burton Black Raiders basketball team (Norton, VA), was overwhelmed 64-30 in Friday's league battle with the host Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA)
The Spartans now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lebanon for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 3. Eastside will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 71-58 non-league loss to Virginia High (Bristol, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 11-7.
The Black Raiders (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Titans come into the Cumberland battle with a 9-10 record.
