Mississippi High School Basketball - Franklin County nudges South Pike

In Friday's league outing, the Franklin County Bulldogs (Meadville, MS) basketball squad edged the visiting South Pike Eagles (Magnolia, MS), by a margin of 60-58.

The Bulldogs (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Jefferson County (Fayette, MS). The Tigers go into the 3A Region 7 outing with a 7-9 record. In their last outing, Jefferson County held off Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS), 60-47, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Forest Hill for a non-league outing on Monday, January 15. South Pike will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 39-36 league loss to West Jones (Laurel, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 6-15.
