Mississippi High School Basketball - Franklin County can't hold off South Pike

The South Pike Eagles basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the visiting Franklin County Bulldogs to 38 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Gibson for a 3A Region 7 contest on Friday, February 2. South Pike will battle a Blue Waves team coming off a 85-39 league win over Wesson (Wesson, MS). The Blue Waves record now stands at 13-12.

The Bulldogs (12-10) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson County (Fayette, MS). The Tigers come into the 3A Region 7 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Jefferson County edged South Pike (Magnolia, MS), 56-49, in a league contest.
