The Harmony Eagles (Big Sandy, TX) basketball felled the visiting Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX), 65-48 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX). The Raiders go into the 3A Region II District 13 test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Winnsboro thwarted Quitman (Quitman, TX), 65-32, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Winona for a 3A Region II District 13 test on Tuesday, January 16. Mount Vernon will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 67-23 league loss to Harmony (Big Sandy, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-15.
