Arizona High School Basketball - Higley tops Mountain Pointe

Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 74-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Higley upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ) to play the Coyotes in a 5A San Tan bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Coyotes come into the bout with a record of 8-8. Campo Verde lost 71-67 in their recent league bout against Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ)

Next up, the Pride play the Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Mountain Pointe will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 84-47 league win over Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ).
