    • Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island succumbs to Lake Washington

    The Lake Washington Kangaroos topped the visiting Mercer Island Islanders basketball team by a final score of 60-50 in Friday's league game.

    In their next game, the Kangaroos face the Bellevue Wolverines (Bellevue, WA) in a 3A KingCo game, on Tuesday, January 16. Lake Washington will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record.

    With the defeat, Mercer Island moves to 8-5 on the year. The Islanders travel to Jackson (Mill Creek, WA) to face the Timberwolves in a non-league game on Monday, January 15. The Timberwolves enter the game with a record of 11-3. Jackson won 56-53 in their recent league game against Lake Stevens (Lake Stevens, WA)
