The Longview Lobos tipped the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers basketball team by a final score of 44-39 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Lobos face the Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 game, on Tuesday, January 16. Longview will attempt to move on its 22-2 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 10-12 record after their 55-51 league win over Texas (Texarkana, TX).

With the defeat, Mt. Pleasant moves to 18-6 on the year. The Tigers travel to Marshall (Marshall, TX) to face the Mavericks in a 5A Region II District 15 game on Tuesday, January 16. The Mavericks enter the game with a record of 6-13.
