The Moon Area Tigers (Moon Township, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA), 58-42 in Friday's league test.

The Tigers (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Mars (Mars, PA). The Fightin' Planets go into the WPIAL 5A 4 test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Mars notched a victory over Erie (Erie, PA), 57-50, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ambridge for a non-league test on Saturday, January 13. West Allegheny will encounter a Bridgers squad coming off a 60-56 league win over Beaver (Beaver, PA). The Bridgers record now stands at 5-9.
